It is always nice to have some really tasty granola around. Here is a recipe for Simple Granola.
8 cups Organic Rolled Oats. Do not use Quick Cooking Organic Oats.
3 Cups Organic Walnuts, Pecans, Almonds, Pumpkin Seeds, Cashews, Macadamia. etc. Use
whatever organic nuts or seeds that you enjoy. Combine for 3 Cups total.
2 Cups Organic Unsweetened-Shredded Large Flake Coconut
1 Cup Organic Coconut Oil
1 Cup. Organic Maple Syrup
Put all the dry ingredients into a large mixing bowl. Mix thoroughly.
Melt the organic coconut oil on a low heat. Pour the melted organic coconut oil into the large mixing bowl with the dry ingredients. Pour the organic maple syrup into the large mixing bowl with the melted coconut oil and the dry ingredients. Mix throughly until all the ingredients are moist. Breath deeply as the aroma is wonderful. The oven has been preheated to 300 F. Spread the granola out on large baking sheets into a thin layer. Bake for 40-50 minutes or until the granola is a deep golden color. Rotate the baking sheets top to bottom for a more uniform color.
Let cool. Eat with fresh organic bananas, fresh seasonal organic fruit/berries, dried organic fruit, organic nut/seed milks. Try some mixed into your favorite organic non-dairy yogurt. Mix with your favorite organic dried fruits and take on a hike.
