The History of Core Synchronism According to Dr Robert Stevens

Robert Stevens describes the history of Core Synchronism:

I began practicing bodywork in 1974. Core is built on the back of Dr. Stone’s Polarity Therapy and specific principles of Cranial Osteopathy. Through the years that it took to figure this system out I was also deeply influenced by the philosophy of classical homeopathy, philosophy of natural therapeutics and nature cure, Edward Bach’s flower system, my own mental/emotional journeys doing additional flower medicine provings, radionics and the study of mysticism.

Polarity Therapy is a system of bodywork based on energetic principles and a specific model of the etheric body. Polarity is a five element-based system of healing. There is very little emphasis on the physical in this system. Cranial Osteopathy is a physical system based on cerebral spinal fluid dynamics and how the physical body accommodates fluid dynamics. This is an entirely physical system. Cerebral spinal fluid is where these systems overlap. Dr. Stone as well as Dr. Sutherland (founder of Cranial Osteopathy) had amazing things to say regarding this dynamic fluid. After years of practicing and studying both systems separately I began seeing the possibility of a new model. Human beings are not just energetic or physical but both. We are made up of soul (core), causal body, astral body, etheric body and physical body. An effective system of hand medicine must address the needs of the whole. The model and practice of Core effectively addresses the whole.

The first core classes were taught in 1995 in Albuquerque, NM. The complete system now comprises seven levels of instruction. Upon completion of the seven levels certified core synchronism practitioner status is awarded. The total number of hours to complete all six levels of training is 140. To become proficient in the practice of core synchronism an individual must practice hundreds of hours outside of the classroom.

  • See a sort of spiral movement in connection with the movements of the brain. See the spiral coil moving out one way and then coming together. How many spiral movements can you visualize in that Tide? How many little coils can you see?
