Otter Vernon

Alex “Otter” Vernon, NTS, LMT, CCSP has lived in the US most of his adult life but was born and raised in London, England. A husband and father of five (5) children, ranging in age from twenty-five (25) to three (3) years old, he has been shown time and again the power of homeopathy and flower essences through effective use on himself and his family.

When he first moved to Albuquerque in 1992 he met students of the New Mexico School of Natural Therapeutics (NMSNT), who inspired him to attend. But, it wasn’t until 2016 that this dream became a reality. No stranger to working with his hands, from 1994 to 2016, he worked as a carpenter building and remodeling homes and later sets and props for the New Mexico (NM) film industry. He is a member of The International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees (IATSE) Local 480 Union, although currently has no plans on continuing film work.

After graduating from NMSNT in 2016, Otter completed all the seven (7) levels of Core Synchronism and is a Certified Core Synchronism Practitioner (CCSP). He uses Core Synchronism, Myofascial Release, Reflexology, Polarity, and Stretching in his private practice, Energetic Body Mechanics. He also teaches and practices capoeira as part of his self-care. Some of his other interests include cold showers, walking barefoot and climbing trees.

Otter currently teaches the Hot Stones course and assists with Polarity Therapy as well as the Sports, Myofascial, & Specifics at NMSNT.

“We live in a society that makes it increasingly difficult to achieve the deep relaxation where true healing is found. As a bodyworker, I find great joy in assisting my clients on that path. As a teacher, I am encouraged to never stop learning and excited to share this knowledge.”
