Bhanu Harrison

Instructor of Ethics & Emotional Support Skills, Women’s Reproductive Issues

I attended NMSNT in 1984, looking for a career in holistic health and found the school to be in alignment with my personal and professional values.  I practiced massage and energetic therapies full time from 1984 through 1995 when I went back to school for my Masters in Social Work.

I began teaching at NMSNT in the fall of 1985 and now continue to enjoy the dynamic environment of the school. I have taught physiology, polarity therapy, professional business practices, ethics, emotional support skills, trauma physiology and women’s issues in my tenure at the school.

My current practice is body-oriented psychotherapy with a focus on trauma resolution.  As a clinical social worker and my years of knowledge of the body through massage and natural therapeutics, I am able to guide my clients in the physiologic discharge of trauma energy and the restoration of healthier nervous system regulation.

In 2016 I became a UCLA Trained Mindfulness Facilitator and now teach mindfulness to a variety of audiences. I am also a Certified Mindfulness Teacher through the International Mindfulness Teachers Association.

Education at NMSNT can lead to many career paths in addition to a personal lifestyle of balance and health.
