Core Synchronism w/ Robert Stevens – Level 1

Core Level One:
Introduction to the model and principles of Core Synchronism. Understanding the physiology of energetic, fluid and skeletal motion. Understanding how the physiology of a synchronistic motion produces inflammation and pain. Students will read an essay on Core Synchronism. Any questions regarding the essay will be answered the next class period. The following terms will be defined: Anterior, Posterior, Superior, Inferior, Medial and Lateral. These terms will be essential in describing skeletal response in relationship to energetic and fluid directed motion. Definition and demonstration of two key manipulations: Temporary Pause and Full Pause. These manipulations are the principles means employed in correcting skeletal imbalance. This correcting method will hold true throughout all levels of Core Synchronism. Students will learn how to palpate and correct the core current. Students will learn how the entire skeletal frame responds to fluid fluctuation. This includes the cranium and facial structures. The manipulations of the entire skeletal frame will be demonstrated in a step-by-step process and then practiced. Included in the class material are descriptions of the manipulations, hand placements, diagrams and direction of motion. The last day of class will be devoted to applying the principles of Core Synchronism to correcting and improving the function of the lymphatic system. The majority of classroom time will be devoted to practice. 24 classroom hours, cost $600. 24 CEU’s NCBTMB Provider  #450404-07

Core Synchronism w/ Robert Stevens – Level 2

Core Level Two:
Journeying deeper into the energetic model of Core Synchronism. A comparison will be made between the Core model and the model of Polarity Therapy. Clarification will be made of key differences and how these differences impact on the practice of Core Synchronism. The principles of five elements Polarity and the organization of the etheric body will be covered. The concept of Wave Pulses will be covered. What is a wave pulse and what does this pulse indicate will be explored and answered. Chakras will be defined. Location, palpation and correction of all major and minor charkas will be covered. How do elements interact in the birth body and the triad elemental relationships will be covered. Students will learn to palpate and correct these elemental relationships. Included in these relationships will be the palpation and correction of organ structures. Students will learn the polarity relationships of the entire spine and how to palpate and correct these relationships. Students will learn a step-by-step process that will correct the birth body elemental relationships, the triad elemental relationships and the elemental spinal relationships for the Air Element, the Fire Element, the Water Element and the Earth element. A specific treatment sequence will also be taught for the Ether element. A treatment sequence based on a wave pulse reading will be learned and practiced. Class material includes: sequences, descriptions of sequences and hand placements, illustrations. The majority of classroom time will be devoted to practice. 20 classroom hours, cost $500. 20 CEU’s NCBTMB Provider  #450404-07

Windows of the Sky w/ Don Cornwell

Windows of the Sky are a series of Acupressure points that help Qi move upwards in the body, thus increasing awareness and acceptance of life experiences. This results in letting go of energy patterns that no longer serve us. Physical, emotional and spiritual imbalances realign so that we can move to the next step in our journey. These points are stimulated with light finger pressure and some with Essential Oils. The experience is dream-like and meditative, during which greater clarity and resolution is achieved. 16 CEU’s

Don will probably retire from teaching CE classes after this year

Scrubbing the Body

A Body Scrub session stimulates the lymphatic & circulatory system by exfoliating dead skin cells with a gentle, but brisk, body scrubbing/brushing. This opens skin pores, releases toxins & takes in oxygen while creating vitality. Skin scrubbing/brushing can sustain or reestablish the skin’s functional integrity and youthful glow. It aids in waste removal, helps slow the skin’s aging process, increases circulation, even improves digestion and alleviates muscular tension. As such, skin brushing is a particularly powerful therapy, which can positively impact the entire body.

Scalp Massage with Hot Oil Hair Therapy

A warm oil hair and scalp massage can be wonderfully relaxing for the mind and nervous system and help relieve headaches and migraines. Massaging the scalp and hair with warm oil is best way to nourish the scalp and hair topically. It relaxes the mind and nervous system as oils and herbs provide excellent

deep moisturizing and nourishing benefits. Head massage enhances blood circulation in the head and neck area and helps promote sound sleep at night. When the scalp is “tight” from stress, circulation and hair growth are impeded. Regular scalp massage can increase the amount of the natural body oil, sebum produced in the hair follicle.

Class is open to: Licensed Massage Therapist, students enrolled in an accredited Massage Therapy Program. Other Professions by prior consent.

Cost: $275 (10% discount given if student attends another Spas Series Class) Venue: New Mexico School of Natural Therapeutics

Class Description

Whatever the body is doing, it continues to the face. Face Therapy is a blend of highly effective massage techniques applied throughout the session to address the subtle and invisible aspects of our lifestyles that manifest in the neck, face, shoulders and in other parts of our bodies. The facial muscles, the neck and shoulders are the most neglected muscles of the body. Face Therapy supports their need to be touched and massaged in order to neutralize the signs of aging and open areas of the body where repetitive injury is setting in, causing muscles to shorten and nerve conductivity to become unbalanced.

Face Therapy restores the skin’s radiance while it tones the muscles and creates a safe and effective method of treating the problem of sagging, aging skin, repetitive injury and nerve impingement without surgery. The massage strokes penetrate the deeper layers of the facial skin and the underlying muscles. The extensive uplifting massage of the face, neck, shoulders and upper back, help to combat the signs of aging, sun damage and dramatically improve the skin’s appearance, the client’s overall posture, muscle tension and nerve conductivity.

Students will have a thorough understanding of the connectedness of the face, neck and shoulders to the rest of the body. They will understand and know how to do massage strokes to support
improved circulation to the face, neck and shoulders; understand causes and how to work with adhesions and tension patterns in the face; understand and be able to use a variety of hydrotherapy techniques with hot towels for lymphatic drainage, stress release, and oil or cream removal from the face.

Class Objectives
Through theory, demo and hands-on, students will learn and be able to: Use a variety of hand techniques and stretches to benefit the face, neck, shoulders. Use massage strokes on the face neck and décolletage to break up adhesions and improve circulation.
