Instructor of Therapeutic Massage, Reflexology, and Polarity Therapy
Trout graduated from the New Mexico School of Natural Therapeutics in April of 2004. Upon graduating, he began assisting with several classes, and is now lead instructor for Swedish Massage, Myofascial Release, Reflexology, Chi Gung for bodyworkers, as well as Polarity with specific techniques. In 2009, he designed a workshop to help others who are looking to improve their own understanding of bodywork and natural healing, The Language of Relaxation.
Trout began his understanding of natural healing in Washington State where he studied food, nutrition, and sustainable agriculture. He helped to found and manage an organic farm until he moved to New Mexico, where he did research and writing for a locally owned food cooperative, as well as serve a three year term on the Board of Directors.
His interest in a healthy life and environment has inspired him to work in various aspects of the community. He has read and produced the news – also training others – for local radio KUNM, as well as hosting several radio shows. He has also worked with kids, organizing and teaching after school classes in football, basketball, music, and painting (as trained through the Arts in the School program).
Trout’s private practice includes a variety of modalities, which he uses to customize his treatments to his client’s specific needs. For his own well-being, Trout practices T’ai Chi, Chi Gung, and Kung Fu. You can also see him around town playing with his band, NormTrout.
