3.My approach to body work is to listen closely to the clients tissues. Engaging them at the level of the restriction, following the tissues into the restriction and through the release.
4.Polarity Therapy, Specific Massage, Sports Massage and Hot Stone Massage.
5.Communication is a challenge. It is interesting to find ways to present the material in a way that the particular group can take it in. I also love to encourage students to make the work their own. How they integrate the various modalities is an example of how one can make the work their own.
6. I believe that NMSNT is a safe place to be, to learn and to grow. It has been so for myself, and I belief others would agree. This is important factor in learning. Also, we offer a comprehensive program. I call it the Liberal Arts school of Natural Therapies! This is appropriate for several reasons. One, the Massage Therapy license allows a wide scope of practice and techniques so it is good to learn many of them to realize which ones you are drawn to. Secondly Physical injuries or illnesses register on all levels, Mental, Emotional and Physical. So it is helpful to have techniques and information that can help your clients heal on all of these levels.
7. What is unique about me? Nothing and everything! I have a back ground in Forestry and Fire Fighting, and I have a recycling / compost Company.
